I like your web site and I may start using safe guard paste. I have a question? would I round my dogs weight to the nearest 5lb and if so would I round up or down. EXP (my dog weight is 17lbs if I round up at 20 lbs that would be 4gm of paste needed 4 * 40 = 160 on the plunger) 0r would I take 17 / 5 =3.4 then 3.4 *40= 136 on plunger this would be to exact weight of dog?

tbb: You should try to give the correct amount, however if you want to round, always round up... Safeguard is very safe and a little extra will not hurt. If you have 5 or 6 dogs, you may want to get the liquid. It easyer to adminster and to measuer.... Good Luck.

I was once sold on safeguard until I found Canine Allwormer. It is a generic form of Drontal. Gets all worms including tapes. You can buy it on the web ranging from $50 to $75 for 40 pills for 22# dogs. Most of these companies are from Australia. Once every 3 months no mess no spitting out the liquid. I love it. I use Ivomec for Heartworm prevention.

Caincutter, is this stuff the same as the safeguard you use?? This says goat dewormer, but I was looking at it last night at tractor supply and it looks the same, but for 16 dollars.
Well I tried to post the link, but it won't show up. If you go onto tractor supply website and click on animal care and then click on animal wormers, it will be in there, it says goat dewormer form safe-gaurd.

Skeeter41: The goat wormer is the same best I can tell from the label - just a smaller bottle.
