I'll be praying for him and your family. I think most all of us have experienced things like this in our families and it's a great thing to reach out and ask for prayer.

I am sending up a prayer for God to grant your grandfather His peace and comfort in this time of sadness! I will also pray that God will give you and your family the strength to face this struggle. God knows our hearts and He does answer prayers, sometimes we don't like the answers but His purpose may be beyond our understanding. God Bless You and Yours!

God's healing POWER be upon your grandfather...

My great-uncle was the same, he always ask about the hounds/pups and when I was bring them up to run. We would drive around to a bluff at the far back of his property and put the hounds to hunting below us. He would sit on the tailgate and clap, and slap his knee when the hounds would run one to the top for him to see. When he got cold, we would load up and go back to the house where my great-aunt Berthal would have a fresh pot of vegetable soup /w toasted cheese and peanut butter crackers made. She could see us out the kitchen window, for they lived on one hill and the bluff was across the bean field on the other hill, so she knew when we loaded up to come home, she would take up the soup and start the grilled cheese. Funny how soup and grilled cheese always tasted especially good when you come in from hunting with good friends and the spirits are running high.
He gave me my first dog box, really, it was a pair of large turkey crates, but they were easy to load and served me well for a number of years. They were wooden w/ dial rod sides, this was good for summer, and putting some tin on the sides blocked the wind in winter.

Thanks for stirring these memories, and I know the love you have for your grandfather... ;)
