I've got a gip that gets like that.
I really need to have her tailed cropped.
Now that I have more dogs, I just leave her at home when she starts to get bad or if we are running cover that shreads tails.

It got so that she quit hunting. She would stick her head in the brush but wouldn't go through because the pain. The blood loss was also causing her to give out on me in the afternoons after hunting all morning.

That is a nice looking hound. He is built nicely and looks to be in very good condition.

HES A GOOD LOOKING DOG.. I HAVE A 6MO AND A 4 MO OLD PATCH FEMALES .. JUST GETTING BACK INTO DOGS AFTER THE MARINE CORPS AND TRING TO FIND OUT WHERE THE PATCH DOGS ARE LOCAL. I COULDNT BE HAPPIER WITH THE TWO I HAVE NOW.. IN FACT I AM TAKING OFF WORK TOMMAROW TO RUN. I'LL BE CAREFUL TO SHOOT BROWN INSTEAD OF LEMON AND WHITE

Good looking dog Mike, must be something in them red and white dogs or mabye it is in the blood. Here is a picture of my Patch male Hammer "passed now" at 10 months old about 2 hours after the hunt.

hey if mine dont look bad at the end of a hunt they need to stay in the wooods instead of my house!or anywhere else i cant feed a dog that wont give it there all!

end of the tail bleeding..... all my patch hounds have always looked like that after a hard day.... also under there noise and above there lip is all tor up.....
