You hear Ole Queenie get that check?
That's Ole Queenie got that jump.
That's Queenie out in front.
Can't be a rabbit ,Queenie ain't opened.
Queenie will run for 10 hours straight if I let her.
She can run a male in the ground.
Bitch has got a BIG nose I'm telling you.
Ole Queenie's got a mouth like a male dog.
I personally killed over 300 rabbits in front of her last season.
No way she doesn't win this cast.

All quotes heard from a handler on a cast at a trial.

True story here... bunch running at night, and Joe says, listen to ol Fannie, man she's smokin that rabbit... hear that? Fan got that check.... money won't buy that old girl.... wish I had a dozen like her... there she is again, hear that? Best I ever had... and on and on.

Bob, who's been suffering in silence, finally quits biting his lip and breaks the news... Joe, there lays old Fannie under that bush asleep, where she's been all night.....

A famous houndsmand was giving me directions to Pike county. I asked him where to stay..

"Over in Pikeville we have one of those fancy motels.."

He was talking about the Super 8..

This dog has such a stong nose that I might have to tape up one of his noseholes to keep him from running two rabbit's at once. :D

rabbit dog

Had a friend I use to run with in the early 90's, we wont name names, lol. He would show up every saturday with a new dog. He would take it out of the box and turn it loose, he would say the same thing every saturday, " boys this is the best dog at the flea market, couldnt get the guy to go under $25.00 for him". Later, when the other dogs were running, he would look at his new dog and ask if anyone wanted to by a show dog, not a scratch on him!!! He handles like a dream, dont have to chase him down to catch him, he's just waiting to take over when our sorry dogs get tired of running the rabbit.

years ago bought a dog on trial that could run a rabbit well. I took him out and run him, the guy asked me later on phone how i liked him Told him great dog good for one rabbit a day.if you got up early enough, because it took all day to make one circle on a rabbit. i never said anything else I don't know if he got it or not.later just give it away. i still think and laugh at what some think a good rabbit dog is.{RUN TWO TIMES WEEK BEFORE SEASON COMES IN,SEASON LAST -TILL DEER GUN SEASON]  Ken
