well if he says the dog wasnt runnin off game he has lost his mind......i havfe been to casey county a many of times.....i have never seen a dog run a rabbit a three ridges over in a straight line.......i was judging one of the cast that got scratched.....and if a hound runs off game within one calender year three times the dog is not alowwed to competet in any more trials until one year from the last off game race......

WOW, I think you were doing what any respecting person would do in trying to find out the truth. You as a beagler are responisible to find people like this and try to put an end to it. Now it would have been different if you would have went to ARHA first. And as far as saying that he should have been there to see for himself, maybe he had something more important to do, or maybe he just couldn't physically make it for some reason. I didn't know it was a requirement to show up at every trial... My point is may people shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly. You could have jsut simply said. "Yes Dave, some hounds did run off game and it will be reported because I reported it myslef. Whatever you heard from Mr. Wilson is incorrect and I being the secretary assure you that it is being taken care of." Now everybody HUG and make up and let's get back to being fellow beaglers and friends....

Chaffin, Come on now, I think Saw could have just said. Did any dogs get turned in for running off game Sunday. He didnt have to imply that there may be a cover-up until he got more facts, plus he was shouting with his caps on and a  at the end.

Saw,
I was in one of the casts that ran off game. We never saw what it was, but it was definitely not a rabbit. It ran around the briars, weaving back and forth, more like a fox or coyote, but it could have been a deer. Whatever it was, the dogs left the country. One of the young dogs in the pack started the race and 3 more joined in. My Thunder dog was one of them. We found them about 2 miles from where they started it. I don't know what makes a supposedly broke dog do what they do sometimes, but I assure you that it will be turned in. I know that you know Mark Brown. Why didn't you call him and ask him if it was going to be turned in? I don't understand why you have to come on a public board and stir the pot and put their club in a situation where they have to defend themselves, without knowing first hand. Give them a chance to do the right thing before you question their integrity. I have never had anything, but honest judging and straight dealings at that club. I haven't always agreed with the way things were judged at their club, but i have never thought they cheated me, just a difference in how I would have scored the situation. Give me a call at 859-509-1724 and I will give you any details that was left out and I will give you my dogs NKC# and you can check and see if it gets turned in. I have nothing to hide and they don't either. Dogs are dogs and on any given day they can do anything. Who knows, they might do it again someday.

Pete that is one of the most stand up things I have read on these boards. It takes a true man to admit his or his hounds mistakes.
Great Job!!!

P.S> I do not know Mr. young nor have I ever me him

Yeah your right Mike, Shame on you too Dave for saying that is might be a cover up. Can't we all just get along...It's situations like this that make it easier to work than go to trials.

Didn't give in just didn't read the post all the way through to the cover up part before I started typing...Open mouth, insert foot.....I was just in one of those moods last night with the kids bickering back and forth and get on here to escape it all and here it is again...LOL I didn't pay any attention to the all caps deal because everytime Dave types something it is in all caps. I just think people could be alittle nicer and respectful to each other that's all....
