Last Saturday was youth season here..I got in from a trial and he was waiting on me..dying to go. It was 28 degrees and spitting snow. I figured I would take him for a little bit..he would get cold and want to go back home. Went and set up by a field I had seen turkey in..called on and off..in came 2 hens..got within 10 yards..he sat really still and we let them go on..after a couple minutes a big gobbler came strutting in to 22 steps. Ol bub already was ready for him. Took a shot and hit him perfect! Just wanted to brag on him a little. 23 lbs 10 1/2 inch beard 1 1/8 spurs.

Good job Bub!!
Not bad for a 10 year old boy!

Nice stuff Brad. That wouldn't even be bad for any aged, old boy either!

Good job Brad,That's something neither of you will forget the rest of your lives! Congrats to the young hunter.I got rained on until about noon and saw 4 hens today but no toms, didn't even hear a gobble, but that goes with the territory too, still it was a good hunt and none of the hens busted me so I'll be back after them Monday,Tommorow is Sunday so I will be going to Church and if Jude reads this I expect to see him there too :) Denny

thanks everyone..

Chris..yea that was the cool part too I videoed the whole thing. I have been trying to shrink it down so I can post it but the video is too big. I filmed his first deer last year and got his first turkey..that was special enough but to have that memory saved is awesome. Take a kid hunting..it means more to them than you know.
