Red Willow creek bottoms, wild Black berry patches, and grown up pond and swamp edges.

I guess I would take a nice frozen swamp to hunt in. They're usually a good place to be when you have a windy day. Not many cottontails up here, and the snowshoes love a good swamp.

Anywhere cover is thick enough to hide a bunny. Mostly briar thickets and serecia(spl) grasses on old strip jobs. Honeysuckle thickets are good also. Not as many scratches though.

It's hard to beat pine trees about 6-8 feet tall for hammering, heads up running!

Anything thick and full of nasty briars! Swamps are preferred! But, fence rows and pine tree farms are a nice change to give the dogs a little break from the thick stuff and let them really burn up the rabbit without getting bloody.

Depends on what I am running. I like the swampy areas for snowshoes (preferably in winter when they are frozen) and thick brushy wooded areas for cottontails. When I was in MO, we primarily ran in open fields with good cover. Briars, serecia grass, multiflora rose... that kind of stuff.
