How Beagles have Changed My Life....

Now that the trialing season has slowed way down and I've had some time to kick back and think a bit on how running these little hounds have changed my life.
I started coon hunting when I was 12 years old and from that point on I have had to have a hound. I'm now almost the big 50 and have gone from coon hounds to beagles with no regrets.
I started field trialing about two years ago and have met some of the finest people of my entire life. I'm talking good honest people than are there when ever you need something. I look so forward to the up coming season to see, talk, and shoot the bull with all these folks and hopefully meet many more.
My beagles (all 15 of them) are my life right now as I spend everyday raising, training, and caring for them, trying to give them all the joy they have given me.
Thanks to all that excepted me as their friend all the friendship you have shown.

Well, I'm not sure we have met yet--I have only had dogs for a few years now and been trialing just a short time. I too am thankful for all the honest folk I met along the way and look forward to seeing again. What a wonderful thing for mankind---THE BEAGLE!

Funny how they change many things. I got into it a little over a year ago, and am now hooked for life! Even when they make you mad, it never lasts long. It has actually became a family affair, and helped give us all something to do as a family outing that only takes time. just wish there was more time for it than there is.

I hope you were talking about me ! Old honest Abe.

Just kidding. I saw your trials listed in the latest Rabbit Hunter. I am looking forward to coming back. I have enjoyed the off season running this year due to a new addition. Nothing like a pup coming into his own. We finally got some rain and some heat relief. We are going to hit the black berry thickets hard this week starting tonight.

Yes, you Anthony and many others. Glad things are going well and you are finally getting some rain. Seems to be helping here to.
As Beagle Bob has said, I have gone through two divorces, lost everything in both of them, but I refuse to part with my hounds. They will always be a part of me. A lot of people don't understand( including my two ex's) what personel joy that a beagle brings to one. The friendships earned from them are icing on the cake.

I couldn't have said it any better myself beside I don't have a ex..I am still attached to him...lol. But he doesn't get it. I have met alot of nice people since I have had beagles. And one gave me the light of my life. (ok gentlemen I am a woman I am sentamental) My beagles helped me throu the worse time in my life the passing of my best friend,my mother. Without them I would not have gotten out of bed. So I will never be without 1..2..3..4 ok ALOT of beagles and my husband better get use to it..lol.
