Kind of hard to say. An 8 month old may be doing a lot more than a 5 month old or could be the other way around. But if I had to put a price range on what you are talking about, something with a good pedigree, I would say somewhere around $250-$450 depending on how the pup is progressing.

Last January I went to watch a 13 month old female run, and bought her for $250. She's AKC registered, and has been doing a real nice job for me. If the pup is supposed to be started, go see what it does before buying if you can.

I sold a real nice 5 month old female that was left over from a litter of mine for $125.00 She was started and was running by her self even gun broke. But I did it for fun and not for money. That guy was lucky

I normally get about $300 for a started pup7 - 10 months old, they are always well started and running in the wild before i sell them. Most of them handle really well and probably have had a deer treatment or two. If they make it to 1 year old at my house they will probably go up to about 400-500 dollars as they will probably be both gun broke and deer broke by that time and will have logged a lot of hours on the ground.

Not a bad price if you ask me. Good luck this season Big Dog.
