iowa rabbit hunting
I hunt Iowa every year and the numbers in the places that I hunt were down this year. We still jumped rabbits but they weren't as thick as in the past. A lot of it had to do with the flooding they had in the spring that hurt the baby rabbit population. There were still decent amounts of rabbits, but in areas that I have jumped 20 - 30 every year for the past 7 years we only jumped about 15 -20. It was also bone dry when I was there the first weekend in November so the running wasn't as good as usual.

Bag Limit is 10 per day, I hunt both private land and game land. Some of the gamelands have high concentrations of rabbits.

Hey Steve, I sent you a email. I plan on hunting on private land, I had planned on hunting every year up there, but seems like something has come the last two years. This will be the first time the land is hunting on in about 5 years that I am hunting on. I just hope that I can get up there this time.
