Bitch in Heat

I have a bitch that just went into heat this week and is dripping a little.

The Question is can I put anything on it as not to distract the other dogs in a cast.

Here is the deal. There is a field trial about 4 hours away and I was going to go but now she is in not sure if it is worth the chance. So PLEASE pipe in and tell me what you would do in this situation.

THANKS
Ron

Save your entrance fee and leave her at home. Nothing is fool proof and if you aren't running AKC where they seperate male vs female, you will have your dog picked up if casted with a male.

Vick's Vapor Rub. But I would not want to mess up someboy elses hunt or risk driving a long ways to just have to scrath her. I know you are wanting that last win, but you got plenty more chances to come.

Is it Lady ? I have heard put Vick's on it, I have never tried it before, although that is not to say some male still might not smell it. Good luck. Kyle

I have seen people put Vicks on their females (at some of the few trials I have been at) and the males still chased them. I would just stay at home with her.

OK well then it has been DECIDED my lady dog and I will stay home this weekend.

Do you think she will be ready to go by 1-19-08 or will she need to be held out longer?

I hope all you guys who want to rub vicks vapo rub on your females will take the time to take a HUGE Smear of it and rub it all into your "underparts" and then run around the block 3 times.. Get back to me on the sensation!!! after that I'll bet you NEVER even consider putting it on a bitches sensitive areas!

Can't erase the pictures in my head :moon:

I remember reading somewhere about Chloraphyl (spelled wrong I'm sure) tablets help take the smell off of a bitch? She drinks or eats them? Anyone know what I'm trying to remember, LOL??? Not for hunting though...I wouldn't turn a bitch in season loose to run with the boys cuz obviously the worst dog out there would tie her faster than any of us have ever seen in our lives
