I have both a Wildlife 10 and a Tracker Maxima 5000/25. I carry the Tracker all the time and leave the Wildlife in the truck for the long range, rough terrain tracking. I use the Tracker alot more, but don't think I will get rid of the Wildlife yet. They both have their places. I wouldn't be afraid to own one. Good luck with your decision.

You wont be dissapointed, it fits on your belt or in your pocket. No reason now not to put those trackers on!!!! Compact and I have tracked a lot of dogs mostly my friends and have never lost a dog yet!!!!

I have a Traker Maxima and recently had it upgraded for the yagi antenna. What a difference ! got the roof mount antenna too.
The unit alone is nice but when you put that yagi on you get more range and better pin point accuracy . Just make sure you spend some time to get acquainted with it.

Has anyone tried the Wildlife Systems 2 element antenna?

Brian, I have a trx3 mounted on the two element antenna, I did this about two years ago up to that point I had the three element folding yagi, the two element is super handy and easy to use (I carry the whole unit in my vest) but it does not have the range of the bigger antenna or the exact pinpoint accuracy when you are up close- you cant turn the gain down far enough to keep it from flooding with signal. All in all it serves the purpose very well. Kurt Robinson

Kurt, thanks for the response. It would be nice to have a compact unit to carry around in the field. I have a F&L MN-10 which I like a lot. I've been thinking about getting a 2 element antenna fot it.
