Shot gun Question

I normaly rabbit hunt with a 20 gauge gun and improved cylinder choke with #6 shot. A friend has an old Stevens 20 gauge side by side for sale cheap. I am thinking about buying this gun to hunt rabbits in in the foul weather with. I,ve always wanted a sxs for rabbit hunting. The only problem is its has a fixed cylinder bore choke in the first barrel. Has any one ever hunted rabbits over dogs with a cylinder bore barrel. I'd like some feed back. I hunt over dogs, I don't jump shoot, most of my shots are at 20-25 yards a few shots maybe out to 30 but very few. Would I be under chocked? The second barrel has an improved cylinder bore. Thanks in advance , Deerhost

I hunt with a SxS coach gun in 20ga, same chokes as you except 18" barrel and I bust rabbits no problem, I have patterned it and out to 30 yards it's deadly, my wife uses it for waterfowl in season and does well on birds too. I say get it you won't be dissapointed.

Sounds like for the range your shooting that it should do good.
