Spray some yellow spray and it should heal up soon ;) . If she hasn't been Ivomeced for a while 4/10th or 1/2
of a cc in the mouth orally wouldn't hurt . When running during the warmer months you'll run into this often .
Oh yeah it's normally on the inside lower flap but I've seen it on the outside of another hound before too .

Goodluck ,

I'm not a vet and may not should be giving too much advice on that but I can tell you that mine still gets wormed
with the Tri Wormer from the vet after being pregnant and still gets the I'vomec . You must make SURE the female
is completely as worm free as possible . Any worms will infect the little guys ;) .

Best of luck and when others reply as well weigh out all your options as I'm no professional but I do care for my
hounds very much .

The yellow spray most likely had a good dose of sulfur in it. Sulfur is a good blood purifier taken internally and cures many skin ailments when applied to the outside on the skin.
Many skin ailments are actually problems within the hound working themself outwards to be manifested on the skin as sores. One such problem is "sweaty foot" where a sore develops on the foot from within and the hounds becomes obsessed with licking and biting at it. Giving flower of sulfur internally and applying it to the wound externally will clear it up... ;)

I agree with TC. I just recently had a hound with what I thought was ring worms. One coating of Nu Stock and all is well now!

Are they round, dime-sized (or smaller) crusty, bloody scabs that, when pealed off, leave clean but raw ulcertated looking spots? If so, give 3cc's of penicilin G IM in the hind leg and they will be gone is a few days. I have had several beagles get these in the Spring/Summer. I would treat as a Fungus and they would improve but then come back as soon as I slacked up on treatment. An old guy in my club told me to try the penicilin and has done the trick everytime (within days). I guess the infection was bacterial all along! Good luck!

I certainly wouldn't Ivomec a pregnant bitch. I like to keep away from that stuff totally if possible.

i am not a vet but a very close friend is... ivmic dose is 1/10 of a cc per 10 pounds body wieght . for all worms including heart worms will not get tape worms..[ :!: note 1/10 of a cc. per 10 pounds body wieght :!: ]..do not use on preg. females or females that are nurseing pups.... iodine spray will kill ring worm and take care of any fungus and is safe for preg. or nurseing females..........
