I used valbaizen last year and I gave 1cc per 10lbs of body weight for 3 days in a row. I had good results with this.

vALBAIZEN CAN CAUSE BONE MORROW SUPPRESION. Not recommended by canine research.

I've used it for over five years now with no problems and everytime I read something bad about it I always ask my vet and he generally always tell me the same thing each time, its the first he's heard about it. Says hes been giving it since he got his license and had no problems from anyone giving it to their dogs yet so I would like to read this also and take a copy of it to him.

Am looking for the paper and will report in soon. My buddy uses it with no problem as he can see it. I think Doc Kaufman in hounds and hunting said it was bad. more later

Hounds ans Hunting Jan., 2001 Dr. Kaufman says it causes anemia and bone morrow supression. It will worm them but Panacur is better according to him. I have used Panacur for several years and seems to work Ok on my dogs. If you use Valbazen with no problem, go for it.

Thanks for the info Bob, There is no problem getting either one so panacur may be the better choice...Patch

I have used Valbazen for years at the rate Big Dog mentioned with excellent results. However, I have recently switched to a new product called Equimax paste. The paste contains ivermectin and praziquantel. It is effective on round, tape, heart, and other worms. For me it is easier and more cost effective to use the Equimax product once a month than Valbazen and Ivomec.

What dosage do you use on the equimax? It seems like something to look into. :D

It comes in a tube like safeguard. A tube will treat something like 1300 lbs.
