My thoughts and prayers go out to this family after losing 23 of their hunting beagles to a kennel fire yesterday. Here is the article:

This may possibly be one of the most horrible things I have heard of, John has kept the Brad-Ju bloodlines as pure as possible for the last 30 years and now it is all but gone. He does still have his main stud and a couple of young males that were in a running pen. Some of the pups that were saved are gyps, so there is a base for rebuilding. The North East Beagle Gundog Federation and the Pennsylvania Beagle Gundog Association have set up a trust fund to help John get his kennels rebuilt and see if he can't get his pack back up and going. 30 years of work up in smoke... a crying shame and some VERY,VERY nice hounds did not make it. If any one has a couple of bucks to spare, here is an address for any donations. I understand there are some guys on the way with some kennels for the young dogs that got saved.
