does any body know of any hounds that are around that have alot of Dingus Macrae breeding or Gay breeding? I have found two both are at laneline beagles and are pretty darn good prospects for breeding my gyp down the road. One is Ozzie owned by Bev and the other is Dingus owned by LaneLine.
Any info is appreciated, Thanks Kris

Theres a guy in charleston WV that has tons of Dingus in his hounds. He has some fine rabbit dogs and a couple of fine studs. Can't remember his name but I'll try to find out. Donnie Erdman has a female that has the most Dingus breeding in one hound, shes small but a fine little hound.

Below is a pedigree of “Jake”. He is owned by Mr. Perry and if there were room for two more generations you would be able to see 19 crosses of Dingus MacRae and 9 crosses of Indian Hill Majer. Mr. Perry also used the Branko dogs that went back to “Branko’s White Blizzard” and “Branko’s Close Call Girl” because they were out of Dingus MacRae and Anna’s Ann. Both Dingus MacRae and Anna’s Ann were both linebred “Fish Creek” hounds and Fish Creek Derived from Yellow Creek.
Jake is a very powerful “linebred” hunting machine. Jim Lane had Jake at his house and was running him with his “Dingus” male. I got to go watch them two males bump heads for about 5 hours, they put on a real show. My dog, well I put her in the box after about 2 hours. In her defense, She had not been run in 2 months and she just came out of heat. And, Jim took me at 8:00 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. It was over 85 degrees when we caught those dogs and they acted fresh as daisys. Neither Mr. Perry or the Lanes could care less about trialing, he said they have a hard enough time gun hunting and trying to show each other up when they and 4 or 5 of their friends get together. All kidding aside, go watch their dogs run or invite them to come running but bring your best or leave them at home because as much as these guys joke around when their dogs are unleashed, they are all business. No Joke, I say this from personal experience.

I know what you mean, I was "bushwacked" by Jim's Dingus male and a couple of hounds he had up there that belonged to Mr. Perry. Joe Lane has a female that is half mate to Jim's male that I thought was going to sprout wings. Jim said Ozzie belongs to Bev. but he is at his house to rule the kingdom for a while. The Ozzie dog was in a parade last spring and got in the news paper, he was wearing a wonder dog outfit "like the movie". I asked Jim if Bev knew he was being show cased in parades, he said "Bev knows Ozzie's real identity is wonder dog". I drew the line and had to leave when Ozzie jumped up on Jims couch to watch TV with an OHIO STATE tee-shirt on, with a slice of ham! He is “tough” now, I would have loved to have seen Ozzie run in his prime. 9 crosses of Dingus MacRae in 5 gen. and then 2 more further back.
Here are the pedigrees of the two males that Jim has at his house now. Lots of Dingus and tough dogs.
