i went and killed a lil mess of them ole tree rats this mournin, had a great time, i am ate up with turkey ticks, what do yall use to get them off??? , i used my buddys .17 and it was sweet, i am gonna have to get me one, they were cuttin up a stowm, bunch of nuts this year...thanks for lookin

went 2 mornings and took 9, go to co-op and get Hy-Yield, mix with water and use in spray bottle, spray clothes before you hunt and let dry, no ticks of any kind.

Here the season begins on 8/30. I haven't been squirrel hunting since we moved in '06. I have access to about 300 acres and can't wait to get the lay of the land figured out.

I have a gun on its way that should get here next week so I can get used to using it just in time for squirrel and rabbit seasons.

Looks like you had some good luck with your buddy's .17 caliber. I hope I can do half as well.

As for ticks, I just pull them off and then use tweezers to pull the heads out of my skin if it doesn't come off with the body. I don't think I'm really supposed to do it that way but I've been doing it for years. Hmmmm. Maybe that explains a few things.

Ok here is the trick with those turkey ticks once you get them on you go to the drug store and get some head lice shampoo and take a bath in it kills them instanly has worked for me several times

Another thing that get rid of them turkey ticks is seven dust, just strip down to your birthday suit and dust yourself then wait about 4 or 5 minutes and take a shower. Sounds kinda crazy but if you've ever been eat up with them suckers you'll do anything to get rid of in a hurry. Also flea shampoo gets rid of them.

I also do as Mark said i have used lice shampoo. Also you can get a prescription for something called Quail Lotion. My son used the Lotion several years ago as he had several squirrels tied to his belt. We would powder the horses legs with 7 inside a sock..as they would be real bad on the horses down in Harrison , Perry county. I had them last year from a run up to Patoka. Some folks have not had these kinda ticks...microscopic..right. I never understood why they didnt get on the dogs..at least i have never had the problem..just regular ticks.good itchin..lol

season dont come in hear till september i bought the 17hmr marlin last year looks just like that one and you can shoot thare eyes out. take them tree rats put bisquic in them and mix it with beer and rap them in bacon cook um over the fire wooohoo boy i tear em up

i bet i had 100 on both ankles togethers......i dont know if these lil tree rats are worth it, thanks for the headsup, i am gonna try any of these things first, i got these lil where the sun dont shine, i figured if you soaked in a bath the would drown, lol that didnt work, there bad....... ive been huntin for yrs and never had em like this... guess im gonna have to have the old lady check me for ticks

Yeah modock if you ain't got rid of them ticks allready your gonna be hatin life for about two weeks. Them suckers will eat you alive! Next time you get into them you better use any of the reccomendations above asap cause if you don't get'em quick you'll be wishin you did.
