I would say, probably the one that started it all, Striker himself. Never saw him run at all, but heard amazing stories about him. FC Larsen's Jackson is a great dog, another really nice hound I seen run is Idol, don't know if Adam Seger got him sold or not, but Idol could do it all, ran with great speed, but had so much control it wasn't even funny. My Moe dog is has striker in him and I like the dog a lot.
I am sure you could contact Adam Seger and ask him. He runs a lot of Striker's offspring.

From what I have seen Striker has been bred MANY times. What seemed to make him a great producer was crossing well with most bloodlines. Hunt, line control, and stamina were things I have seen consistantly in his pups.
Many think the Striker X Sadie cross was the best. It was known for hard hitting dogs. This produced dogs with top end foot and enough control not to minus out.
I preferred some of the crosses bred to clean hard hunting rabbit dogs. Which often produced better offspring than the parents which many know is not easy to do consistantly.
Trialers and hunters alike seem to improve on what they had and to me that was the quality that gave him the recognition for being a great producer and rightly so. Striker blood is a big plus in a pedigree but a strong consideration to what he was bred too and the style of hound must be looked at to understand what you are getting. As always, seeing the dogs run can not be substituted for whats on the papers.

I know this much that Seger crosses, Ranger Dan, Haunted Hills, Lake Omegaw Casey, Johnny PayCheck with the striker stuff. I like the the striker and ranger dan stuff. Extreme line control and extreme hunt.
