Lynn Perkins is not one to blow his own horn so i will blow it for him. this is off topic but when our young ones accomplish much, I hope Bev can cut a little slack for Lynn's sake. I was just watching the WYMT news and Lynn's daughter Laura was on there (I need your autograph, LP, you were on TV too) signing her letter of intent to play basketball and run track at Union College. Way to go, Laura Perkins! I hear she is a really good student as well as athlete. I know Lynn is proud of her, as everyone that counts the Perkins family among friends including me is proud of her.

Do you think she got her running speed from Lynn? I heard he had some wheels. Wait a minute maybe it was his dogs we were talking about.   Congrats Lynn, it is always good news when a youngin is headed in the right direction.

Congrats. My second cousin went to Union. Her education there (along with her father's connections) helped her land a job with the Boston Red Sox and now she's working for Major League Baseball.

I have seen her on the bball court and trust me, she don't get her foot from Lynn. He should have gotten her started field judging!

Ramey, thank you very much, yes i am very proud of my daughter. Most dedicated kid i've seen when it comes to setting goals for herself and reaching them.
I thought the camera made me look thinner  ,never realized how much work and time went into going to college but there were several interested and she wanted to find the right one.
Now maybe i can get back to the sport i enjoy most, wait a min.i have a son that's more of sport nut then laura,so might have to just go with the flow for now, worry about my fun later in life, again thanks to everyone!

PS...Remeber i haven't always been a little over weight and middle aged,i had the wheels back in the day, they've just gotten a little rusty thats all ;) June Bug got to see me in action recently,i can still move fast ,just lot shorter spirts

Again thanks to everyone!

Being a former principal and coach and having a son that taught, coached, and played sports also, and is now a principal at one of the biggest schools in the county I can tell you for sure that Lynn is very very proud of her. Lynn and I have talked on several occasions on her abilities and the college she will attend. I, like Ramey have watched her play and the way she conducts herself with people, a very special kid that will do well in this world. Keep up the good work Laura. Lynn, just wait till the grandkids come by, they make u more proud than the kids do.

Nothing can make a man madder or prouder than a child. Lynn gave me some great advice on mine a few years back and he hit it on the head. It stings sometimes too give up what we so dearly love but the end result is proof is in the pudding. Congrats Lynn.
