I was told that as of yesterday, 7-8-09, we can train hounds in the wild. I was told they moved it up a week. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks,
Merv

yep, i printed the amendment out and carried it with me just in case someone thought other. i ran the 8th and today on public land with no problems at all. the amendment 15 has some funny dates on it as to when that amendment is effective. but i think 15 is a revision of amendment 5. amendment 5 if i am correct was passed back in april.

later, dave

I guess it was going to be voted on the 9th or something like that but it was IN PRINT in the bear hunters pamphlet printed by the DNR that hunters could train dogs starting on the 8th. I had one in my truck when I ran just in case because a guy I know called the DNR and an officer told him that he couldn't run on the 8th but then a lieutenant called him back and told him he could run on the 8th, so they don't even know whats going on.

All I know is it's a week earlier that we can get out (legally :D ) and run the dogs.
