I lost a friend in Afghanistan on the 23rd due to an IED. He and I served in the Marine Corps together in 1st Batallion 9th Marines Bravo Company Weapons Platoon. I miss him dearly... Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers along with his friends.

To you Nick, you were truly one of the best marines I knew. I will always remember the great times we had together. You gave the ultimate sacrifice and I will never forget you. Watch over us. Love ya man

Everyone, no matter you views on the war, please take time out of your day and remember the fallen and tell your loved ones how much they matter to you because you never know what tomorrow holds...

Our prayers for his family and you and yours. From my family to yours, than you as well for your sacrifices for us. you and all who serve are dear to my family's hearts and we will continually pray for you. The church where I worship has a 4 foot dry erase board for prayer requests. It has one section dedicated to our military personnel, so we pray for them every time we meet. We will remember Cpl. Nick and pray for his family.

I feel your pain, brother. It's a shame that life must be lost for the cost of freedom, but it wasn't without great honor. We all must pass on one day but the greatest departure is for ones country. Bless Nick, his family and you as well.
I'm a Vet as well but one of the lucky ones that got to home.
