Running in Conditions with no rain in over a month. Huge noses, Patience and brains to go fast when they can but slow down when they have to. If you want to be able to run in these conditions you have to be willing to tolerate what people think is extra mouth. We are Confident that when we go out that we are going to be able to run the rabbit under almost any conditions. I know most of you guys love speed but you can't always go fast. I hope you enjoy the dog work even if they are not your style dogs.
Thanks for watching,
Mark~

I totally agree with you, gotta have the brains to work a rabbit under dry conditions. You got some nice gundogs there. You gotta slow down before you speed up.

Feed and run what you like. If you like the type of dog you have beautiful. Why try and convince others or maybe you're advertising on the down low. If that's the case you're on the wrong page, try the Trading Post or General services page. Again, nice dogs, if that's what you like.

I don't recall advertising any dogs for sale. I just posted the video hoping some may enjoy the dogs even though we all like different styles of dogs. I know I watch lots of videos of all styles of dogs and really enjoy them. I just love hounds running rabbits. I actually like hounds running anything. I thought that is what we were all here for. If this board is only for a specific style dog I will gladly remove the post and move on.
Thanks,
Mark~

i would say if you get some of that fat off them they might be a little quicker.
also they have big noses, and even under dry conditions they should not be barking more than once in the same spot more than ONCE maybe twice. i think if you took that big nose that you have there. crossed it out to some haunted hill shaker or some old paycheck blood. it would give it the hard hitting drive out of the checks.
they are nice line hounds and i like a lot of mouth, but the feet have to be moving.
i have that greenbay shooter blood over here, and i am working on putting a little more punch out of the check. i like a dog that when it comes out of a breakdown. it can own the rabbit till the next breakdown. i dont think they are so much mouthy just need to push harder. it has not rained here for months. the weeds will still hold the sent. in the weeds they will fly when they hit the open they might slow down to a walk, and walk the trail out. when i say this. i figure a bark per step FORWARD.
i always enjoy your videos, and watch everyone listing and evaluating. i think you have some nice hounds. i would say you have them where they can hold the rabbit down. now it is time to, i know you dont want to here it,BUT SPEEEEED THEM UP.
GREAT VIDEO AND KEEP POSTING THEM

There you go with that speed thing again. LOL! I have not problem with opinions as long as that is what they are. I think we are just looking for two different things in dogs. I just don't feel I am in a race. Actually that is what I am trying to get away from. I am looking for a pack of dogs that will just focus on running the rabbit and not worry about the other dogs in the pack. I want to eliminate the competition between the dogs. When the conditions will allow the guys will push a rabbit. Nothing like what you guys want but it's enough for me. This is an example of how they run under good conditions.

them r some nice dogs there, the guys that r talking crap, r the ones that there dogs only run 60% of the rabbit ,but they sure r fast, what a joke, and they probly only run in good conditions, keep running the nice hounds you will kill more rabbits than them.

I would have to say that i started out with my first beagle at that speed of a hound but i prefer a faster hound, now i do love to go out with my buddy and just watch his medium speed to lower medium speed hounds run a rabbit sometimes it can be more entertaining to watch and listen to than faster dogs, now i do not like blowing a hole in the ground i dont care how fast you or anyone else likes their dogs but i dont like to see a dog blow a hole in the ground he/she needs to be moving forward, but dont listen to everyone saying you need faster dogs or you need this or you need that YOU NEED WHAT YOU WANT!!!! Glad to have you as a fellow beagler and may all your running be fun and all your hunts be safe!!! GOD BLESS!!!!!

I`ll kill more rabbits with that style dogs than most will kill over real fast dogs. In 45 yrs. I`ve owned all kinds and I also like a little more speed but I`ll take your slower dogs over a lot of these barn burners.espeacialy gun hunting the harder and faster dog push a rabbit the bigger it runs & the more apt it is to hole up.used to have slower dogs that very seldom ever took a rabbit out of hearing dogs I have now do it reagurly .I like all kinds and enjoy good dog work regardless of speed. No body else has to buy your dog food so it dose`nt matter all that matters is if you like them.Enjoy your vidios keep them coming.jmo

THEY ARE MOVING THE RABBIT A LOT BETTER THERE, AND BY NO MEANS AM I TALKING CRAP. i just like a hound to TRY to over take the rabbit. just cause a hound has speed dosent mean they dont run 100 percent of the rabbit. OLNY A FOOL THINKS LIKE THAT. i just think the way they lock on a rabbit. if you put a little more foot under them. they would still lock on the same just do every thing a little faster. it gets exciting when they run them down an catch um :D :D

dont get the wrong idea i like the videos. keep them posted

I've always appreciated Mark sharing his videos and appreciate his hounds ability. Anyone critical should post a video of their hounds in similar conditions.
My hounds are a little faster, but like Mark, I am constantly trying to breed hounds that are independent enough to do their own work but honor their pack mates. I've not been as successful as Mark but I'm still working toward that goal.
Their work on that dry road bed was very impressive, IMO.

Most rabbits dont have time to think hole when the canines are on their white lil tail ,and I like the big circles it makes the chase longer .I dont like killing a bunch of bunnies id rather hear the chase ,not talking about the dogs in the video .to each his own .SPEED KILLS
