Question about a post delivered dam!

My female had her pups yesterday afternoon. Do they still have a discharge after they have the pups? She is eatting just like normal and drinking. She is going potty just fine and she is a WONDERFUL mom. I just wondering and it doesn't stink and its just a little bit.

It's normal to have a discharge for several days after giving birth.

a clean out shot probably wouldn't hurt. however, its a good sign she is eating fine...

My vet told me they will have a discharge for about 2 weeks after having pups. Their uterus is "cleaning out". As long as it keeps getting lighter in color, & she's not throwing up or sick, it's all normal. Just watch her bottom for awhile.
