Had a cousin that raised a litter with me year before last that said he was worming them out with valbazen and he did that because it’s supposed to take care of coccidia. Well brought my pup home that day and took it into the vet for a check up and bam she tested for coccidia. In this particular case it told me that valbazen didn't take care of coccidia in these pups. Make sure you don't solely rely on valbazen taking care of coccidia. If you do you may be puzzled if they get it and can’t figure it out because you think valbazen takes care of it. To answer your question I just started using Safe Guard liquid Goat wormer thanks to some advice from a good friend on here. "PRG" It comes in a white bottle with yellow and green labeling on it. 120 or 125 ml for like $17. Saved the lives of 7 pups this summer when strongid didn't work.FrancoMo1678 wrote:Just raised a litter done them with Valbazen , look real good and didn't any problems with coccidia
Tractor Supply is where I get mine.ringtail wrote:elliot where did you get the goat wormer,,,,,,i have been using strongid on my pups,,,,
I use between 3/10 and 4/10 of a cc three days in a row. I've heard of people using more but I haven't up to now butt haven't had any bad off wormy pups. If you feel that they are real wormy you can do it twice a day for three days in a row. Of course you wouldn't use the higher amount if you do that. I don't have the bottle in front of me but I think it just says Safe guard goat wormer. If currdog or Lynn Perkins see this post and want to respond they may know what the exact name is on the bottle. They’re the two guys that turned me onto it. Good luck Riggs.gunner wrote:ironjawdawg
