better dog
I'm wondering if most have better running dogs with the ones you buy or the ones you breed ?
Re: better dog
I think it comes down to what each man is looking for .
If I didn't Trial ...I would breed and raise my own pups. For a Trialer alot of time can be put in a litter just to find out you're left with an average dog. One that doesn't have the Talent level to Win a Trial.
For me it's Buy. I've had much better luck this way. Finding the right dog to buy is another story.

I've got five adult dogs and all of them were bred and raised here. I've bought about a dozen in the last six years from pups to adult dogs and none of them staid. Only one, IMO, was a keeper and she died from kidney failure.
