Rabbit Fever wrote:Every hound in my kennel has just about all of those great hounds in there breeding, Little Cedar River, Birch Lake Texas T, Birch Lake Mic, Colby Hill, Schnapps, Doms Dougie, Sand County Bailey, Ables East Coast, Townlines Johnny Paycheck. All of the old stuff is really hard to find now a days, I like this bloodline because they have awesome hunt and desire, but i think there are not to many of us left with that bloodline. The bad thing is once its gone its gone for good. If anybody has this bloodline please let me know I have an excellent bitch that i want to breed as soon as she comes into heat. My males are to closely related to use as stud.
Below is a pedigree of a male that has been producing some big nose pups. He has some older breeding to him with some of the breeding that you have mentioned above. He is nine years old and is still a nice hound. The only thing is he has just been used as a meat dog all his life and has put many meals on the dinner table. He still has everything but the foot he once had.

He is the sire of the dog this guy is talking about when he mentions "nose".

I have a whole new meaning for the word "nose" after watching a certain dog(This is just one particular hound not a line) running this year. I'm not even gonna get into it, but yes i feel my casey dogs in particular have very good noses. I'm sure the guy that owns the dog i am talking about above would agree.

I talked to Jim meachum last spring and had one question for him knowing he judged most if not all the great males from Nothern Mich hare trials. The question was who was the toughest fasted hardest hitting of them all and I thought he would say paycheck. His answer was Schnapps. He said first trial Schapps ran in he was picked up for off game. The other dogs could not run with him and as a judge he had a hard time believeing a dog could push a hare that fast. the very next weak he said same thing but this time they seen the hare and Schapps went on to win the trial. In my opinion the colby hill Bitch line was awesome. Another tough line would be Black Point owned by Mike johnson
