2 1/2 days of hard a$$ running. Tough going from 8 to 11 but from 11 to 6 it was full throttle!! I don't know how accurate the Garmin trackers are but the first day one dog ran a little over 17 miles, the second day it said they ran over 14 miles and the third day they had ran over 13 miles!! If that isn't enough to get a dog in shape what will? We may have over did it a little because the next day the dogs could barely walk. It was some of the best running that I have witnessed in the UP on snow!!
Dog on left of tailgate is Briarback's Out of Control Achilles. Dog on right is Viagra's hard to the Max.
Bottom picture is on left Briarback's Out of Control Achilles and Briarback's Danny Boy. On right is Viagra's hard to the Max and Hard Driving Callie.

Nice shootin, looks like you guys had a blast.
You are right, there is no better way to get a dog in shape than to put him on hare for a few days.

Nice shooting Rob. Three days, three limits! (I've seen Coop with a shotgun and I am quite certain that none of those hare were taken by him.) Nice pics.

We were up there March 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The snow was great, there was no snow in spots in the swamps there was 1 to 2 inches.

Would be a very rare thing to see a white hare in late Oct. Usually the 3rd week of Nov. Great thing they run the same brown.
Wow only 2-3 inches in Newberry. Thinking of heading E or S to try to find some bare ground running this weekend. No problems with Wolves? Looked like a great time.
Couple weeks ago I had a chance to take a friend, who doesn't run hare much, he balked and regreted it days after.

No snow in spots and 1-2 inches in swamps-- must be a different area than I am familiar with. Kurt
