This may be an old subject. If so I apologize, however, I was wondering what everybody's favorite rabbit gun is? What do you take to the field day in and day out? I'll start by saying my carry gun is an Ithaca model 37 in 16 gauge. I shoot mostly an improved cylinder choke, sometimes a modified, and 6.5s or 7.5s depending on the cover/terrain. Being left handed, I love the bottom ejection of the 37s. I also had a gunsmith modify the safety for left handed operation. I love this shotgun!

My dad and brother are Wingmaster guys with dad shooting a 20 gauge left handed Wingmaster he's had since he was a boy, and my brother shoots a 16 gauge Wingmaster.

1971 Browning Light Twelve A5 don't go anywhere with out it. Shot hundreds of rounds thru it.

Browning Buckmark .22. Shotguns only allowed if there are too many people hunting to keep track of.

My youth model Remington 870 20 guage. Very light weight! Going to buy a .410 single shot.

Benelli M2 black synthetic with 24 inch barrel, 20 gauge. Makes it easy for me to wasted ammo!!
Like carrying around a stick it is so light!

410 or 28 ga. you will miss a few but what you shoot you can eat.

T/C Encore 410/45 pistol. Me and my buddies don't kill alot of rabbits, we like hearing the dogs run. But if the right situation accures I'll take a shot with it.

I like to carry a SxS 20 ga. I have two triggers and shoot it like its two different single shots. I have one barrel wide open w/ low brass 6 shot and the other barrel tight w/ high brass 6 shot. That way if the rabbit crosses the road 40 - 50 yards I can still get him! I shot one at 72 yards but that is not the norm.

Mine is my 12 gauge uplander side by side with 7.5 shot light and accurate. This year im going to carry a recurve bow a few times and see if i can get lucky.
