Ive been Thinking Real Hard about being done with trialing... The last few trials just took the fun out of it for me... there is so much whining and crying , poor judging and backstabbing that its just not fun to me anymore. especially at our own local hunts. i could see a little bit at the big hunts but at our own hunts is gettin old... So to all of you that I have meant through the years good luck to you and I wish most of you all well.. Tim Nummer

Seems sportsmanship is getting to be a thing of the past. It's too bad for sure. Good luck with what you decide.

Hey why dont you give Big Pack a try. I pretty much left a lot of other formats to focus on it. Guys there dont think that they are jockeys riding on their dogs to victory. More of a good time and fraternal group of great guys and the dogs get a good 4 hours of running too. My feeling is dont surrender to others bad behavior strive to change and make things better.

have you tried the performace pack ( ukc )? I tried it for the first time and found it very relaxing and about as fair as they get. There was no complaining or griping or putting other dogs down, might be worth a try.

I would like to try Big Pack. Not many licensed trials like that down here.

There are a group of beagle men here that run in old strip mines and bet on whose dog crosses the old roads forst that run all through the reclaimed land. Must be on the rabbit running and opening on it, not running ahead of the rabbit or running to the road and waiting on it if you know what I mean. Those are shot.

Its like Big Pack as I imagine it being speed and drive. Lots of money changing hands and everyone is a judge.

Sounds like fun to me!

Remember things only change when someone steps up to change them. Alabama John there is a Big Pack Club in your aarea and they will have a trial or two this fall I am sure they are just south of Huntsville.

You should give ARHA PP a try. I've been to a couple and had a real good time.

Been hearing that from a bunch of people but its mostly the whiners that never get beat only cheated  Those are the people that think they should win every time they drop a dog. All they do is complain about how poor the judging is and aint never judged a day in their life
You dont ever seem to have any trouble winning Nummer.
I usaully get burned out and take to morels, bluegill and steelhead but still have a good time runnin. Its good to get away from it for a while but dont let the cry babies run you out go on your own terms.
You aint had someone whispering in your ear have you ??
Hate to see you go, always enjoy you and your family at the hunts.
You have my #, Dave

man i am right there with you i had to take a break from them for awhile but i am going to try it again this fall favoriteism seems to be a big part in it they judge the person not the dog. Thats why when i judge i do it as fare as possible. yeah i know i miss some stuff but who dont.

I think Me and My brother are the breeders of your Turbo By Jasper, You ran him in the right format. I thought he would be a grand by now. Explosive hound with extreme hunt. He would gamble a little to much for AKC but you should try it. In my opinion the cream of the crop.

you mean all that stuff happens outside of oklahoma. wow it makes me want to get back with the trial seen. the guys that are telling you to try and change it are right on. one little tip you can't do it by yourself. start bringing people together that are looking for the type club you would be proud to say your a member of. that my friend is the key. a mans pride goes along way and if its in the right place it even goes farther. it is time to start cleaning clubs up with the cheating a bickering. i don't know many getting rich at this so whats the point. i really enjoy people that are having fun and like the sport. not everyone can win but everyone can have a great time trying and enjoying the sport we enjoy so much. this weeks winner is just that this weeks winner. next week will be a different story or at least it should be. for those that are really competitive i here there's a big push going on for PKC and thats for money and where the big competitive folks should be.
take a breath and bring yourself back to the sport if you really enjoy it.
