Use a 2x4 galvanized horse panel for the sides and divider,.
Dont use expanded metal for the floor, I did and am not happy with it.
Dont skimp on the height of the runs, most do, but the cost isnt much difference. I hat those low profile trailers with the dogs all squashed down.

I like a heavy gauge vinyl coated wire for the runs, Like Crabby said dont use expanded metal especially on the floor. We had a dog get a toe nail wedged in between the expansion once and he was not happy.
I like to have two doors on each run, one at the back and one on top close to the box. makes it easy to pull out one dog from the top.
Make your box doors to the run so they swing from the top and latch on the bottom that way the dogs go in and out as they please unless you lock them in. Also make sure you can lock all of your doos latches.
Get a large cooler and mount it on the tongue for barley pop and water
Weld some D rings along the sides of the frame for tie outs and last but not least be sure to run ALL wires inside the frame or in conduit.
Hope that helps some and good luck with your summer project.
