I haven't noticed any babies........but to be honest I've only been getting out very little until now. I did have a smaller rabbit give Ron and I's dogs a fit yesterday. It was slinking around and squatting up on them I think. And running on the wet dirt through the woods didn't seem to help them out either. It was almost like where the rabbit went across the dirt they had trouble but through the leaves, grassy meadow areas and thickets they seemed to do ok. All young dogs down again so I think that's also part of the reason they struggled a little bit.

Joey... Baby rabbits is the excuse I've been using last few weeks for crappy running. Well that and a fox is thinning out the adult population. Maybe I need to just buy better dogs, ha ha.

I have not seen any in the nest but the little 4 and 5 inchers are sure putting a hurt on my hounds. Run for about 30 yards do the zig zag thing and run another 30 yards or so. Or it might be just like FUZZ stated "I need better hounds".

No never mind it has to be the bunnies.

I had a run in with a small rabbit monday morning. if i could figure out how to get video off of my phone, i would post how bad the run was. spot and run, spot and run. wasn't hardly half grown here in west kentucky.
Jamey

p.s. my dogs have been layed up for couple of months due to heat ( mother nature and the female kind as well). that might have had something to do with it.
