* This 12pt Buck was taken on my place by my old Buddy, this is about a 5-6 yr buck, at the base he is over 3" round, killed today. This buck was with another buck that was little bigger and nicer, My buddy got the two mixed up in the weeds and shot this one, very nice deer, in the 140-150's . in the last 5 yr on my place there has been a 10pt that scored 171, and 9pt that was 153 and now this one.

Nice deer. Hopefully after this weekend I can share some pics of some big Illinois bucks! Our first gun season starts Friday morning. Now-a-days the big boys are pretty smart and make themselves pretty scarce especially since all the pressure they get. There are 8 of us hunting so hopefully a big one will make a mistake and walk in front of one of us!

Here is one my friend got Sunday morning, he had just sit down and he came trotting around the mountain. He was trailing a doe.Has 14 scoreable points. Sucks that his G-2 on the left was broken.
