Foot is easy to get! Foot and the brains to not continue to over run the track is the key. For foot and brains i like Pine Mt Chester/Kingwoods T-Rex bred dogs. They are not perfect but the closest i have seen that consistently have the qualities i want. Other lines like Turbo, some Branko have good foot also.

This !! I just had a small litter last year (2 pups) off a Chester daughter x a T-Rex grandson. I kept the female and gave my buddy Pete Tuck the male. They have been perfect with the mouth and reasonably easy to break from off game. They both have foot to spare. They are a year and a half old and in their first rabbit season. Petes male can flat out stretch out a pack. No cheating just exploding out of checks and driving the line with a killer mouth.

Also some of the Patch x Northway crosses that were done by Mike Crabtree yielded some tremendous foot.

This cross was made prbly 12 years ago but look for it in a dog and good luck finding it Larsen's Native Girl x Throop's Bull. A female i used to handle in the u.k.c hunts was out of this cross....she did'nt stretch out any packs she literaly lapped dogs on a rabbit track...they'd catch up to her when she brought it back to them still working the first circle...the females name was Hollywood Calendar girl. Good Luck there is alot of fast dogs out there, I'm certain Calendar Girl was one of the fastest...She was a wild looking little gyp too...looked like a blacktick if ever there was that sort of a hound color...tan face looked like she stuck her face in a chimney with a light smokey looking blackish tint on top of the tan...i have a male now calendar girl is the grandmother on the bitch side, and thirtyoughtsix blitz is the sire he's just got some wheels but a bit more conservative than what his grandmother used to be....he still rolls when he has a good whiff of one. My old lucky dog was fast in his day he was out of calendar girl and supposed to be larsens bear paw but akc dna came back false on the sires side.... :bash:
