anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
i would like to know if anyone is breeding to paw king
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
not sure, but i ran with joe and his paw king this morning. i was really impressed. king is a very very nice dog.
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
I saw him ,and his littermate sister run for awhile yesterday, actually watched her alittle longer. What i liked about her was she looked to be a good check dog,and had really good hunt, she wasn't messing around.
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
Paw King is only 1.6 years old and has been bred nine (9) times. Six of the nine times, King was bred to females that the owners just hunt. His oldest pups, which are five months old, are out of a Shooter/Dinah female. Reports state that most of these pups are already running on snow! I bred FC Green Bay Sandi to Paw King and she is due in three weeks. (all pups are spoken for out of Sandi)
Thanks for the interest,
Joe

Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
i am looking to bring down the size in some of this snapps stuff so i can hit a trial and am thinking about crossing a cuple bitches to this hound how is his speed from a 15 in guys point of view or how does he match up aginst the big 15 inch hounds dose he still hold his own?
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
Ken, I had her ,and two other hounds with me. I'm liking her more, every time i take her out.
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
Did you put her down with these others to use as a measuring tape?
Re: anyone breeding to greenbay paw king
Chap,
We had three 15 inchers running with him, they took turns getting checks and in front, but after 2 hours, he just took over.
Joe has him in extreme condition and he has no problem running with 15 inchers.
That little hound can haul azz!

Thanks a 1,000,000 for the positives comments concerning Paw King. I sincerely appreciate it!
The main reason for attending the "Hunted Hare Hunt," was to prove an important point. That point being: A GOOD TRIAL DOG IS A GOOD HUNTING DOG.
On Saturday I attended a large pack snow trial in Ishpeming, Michigan. The dogs ran in two feet of snow. Paw King did well in this trial. After the trail, I loaded Paw King up and drove seven (7) hours to Trego, Wisconsin to the "Hunted Hare Hunt." Sunday, under hunting/gundog conditions, Paw King performed exceptionally well again. If I have a dog that is fast, rough, and "feeds off the pack" in trials, or can't drive on snow, he is culled. I only keep and breed for hounds that can perform at a high level in field trials (all formats) and most important, HUNTING.
Swampman, I must teach my dogs to handle like Pearl. She is a "Brag Hound."
It would be nice if Pete (Hare Hawk) could post the video he filmed. (or just em it to me)
Thanks again,
Green Bay Joe
