Black Gold, as advertised, GREAT RESULTS!!!

Post by BCBeagles »

I have switched over to Black Gold a few weeks back and I can honestly already see a difference in the dogs coats and stools. I am not seeing the yellow and white bits of corn in the stools like I was with the Pride. I think Pride is okay, but not on the level with Black Gold(black bag). Worth the extra cost as my hounds are seeming to have great energy as well and I have been having some nice running to test that out. Black Gold is really worth trying out.

I can get Black Gold for $28 but have to drive an hour one way to get it. Just started feeding Pride 26/18, on the second bag. Seems OK but as was stated I can see bits of undigested corn in their stool. I like the fact that Black Gold uses corn meal instead of ground corn. Seems like it would be more digestable.
I live back in the woods you see, my woman and the kids and the dogs and me.

28.50 per bag. I think it is a good food up to 35.00 a bag. I would pay up to that and probably more. I just fed and cleaned up and has been a great switch!! Quality stuff!!

Joey I don't think you will regret that decision. My dogs have had the easiest transition to this food of any I have every used and I have used some higher priced ones as well. I hope it holds up for me as well in the long run.

Locaion affects the varying prices. The farther you are from the factories the more cost you have in trucking. With the rising fuel cost it has killed pricing.

I buy a skid at a time and do the same thing, stack it in the basement.
I'm feeding Blackgold and Sportsmans pride both 26/18.
The Blackgold just went up to $24.00 and Sportsmans pride went up to $21.50.
The ingredients of the 2 are comparable, except 1 list meat ingredients and the other chicken
ingredients.

I pay $24 a bag here in GA for the Blue bag.Keep thinking of switching but it's not worth saving $2 a bag for something that's not as good.
