Italiano Spinone is a breed of bird pointing dog. If that's what you're talking about? Only thing I could think of...

Seguccio Italiano is like a mini blood hound, a little smaller then my swiss hound, they are in the hound family ,if you want to see pics google seguccio italiano. They are used in sicily for hare and wild hogs. I believe they get scent from the air more then the ground, I could be wrong on that .

haire bear, that is all I know on this breed, as i have herd about from family members from sicily, but I believe they are a fast speed, and think not really a pack hound, think run best alone or with one more. Probably have a high prey drive and will try to out do each other which would cause alot of choppy running, but if you can get a pup , I would give a try, if you do not want send my way, lol.....

I did a search on bing plus went to youtube. There's a ton of videos on youtube. I read that they are around a 19" dog and weigh upto 50 lbs. They will hunt alone or in a pack. I got this off that popular online encyclopedia. Just cant remember the name. I watched a couple videos. They search much like a beagle and the ones I saw had chop mouths.
