Looking for a Bloodhound Stud

Post by Keystone Kid »

Sorry, but this is "slittly off topic". I'm in dire need of a "Top of the line Bloodhound Stud" ASAP :!: :???:

I'm looking for one of the best Bloodhound trackers around to use for a stud for my female Bloodhound Millie.

Millie is Certified level #1 in Man-trailing in Home Land Security & AMA (American Mantrailing Academy), and she's in "standing heat" at this time. I would say I only have about three more days to get her breed or I will miss her this time around. We're located in North Central Indiana, but I would be willing to drive a considerable distance if the stud was a great dog and met my "minimum" requirements bellow:

1) Great Tracker!
2) AKC Registered
3) Microchiped
4) OFA Certified
5) Have a perfect scissor bite
6) General “all around good conformation”
7) Exceptional Temperament & all around Good Disposition
* I enjoy meeting new Beaglers & Squirrel Dog Owners. It's a blessing to find other's with such unique interests.
* I also enjoy helping future hunters.

I would check with the local sheriffs offices and prisons as most have a dog that would fit your needs.

I'm a professional K-9 Trainer, I have tried for quite sometime to find a quality stud and have been coming up empty handed.

The BIGGEST PROBLEM you are going to Run into Is the Bloodhound Breeders themselves!!!! DEPENDING on IF you are looking at Certain Bloodlines!!!
IF the HOUND is rated as you Say then the Breed REGISTRY must ALSO approve of the breeding BEFORE it can Take Place. (they Will Pick your Stud For you) BUT if you KNOW the BREED then you have already Found this Out........http://www.bloodhounds.org/page31/introletter.html
We Where in the MARKET for a TRUE "RATED" HOUND" for awhile took us TWO years to just get on the LIST to be Approved to GET on the LIST LMAO
We Were then PASSED on For CHOICE of PUPS by the Folks at The Blood hound Club Figured it was not Worth the Hassel....Good Luck in your Search....
From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be

Yes, go a head and have you son call me when he get's back. Millie will be out of "standing heat by then, but maybe we can make plans for this fall. James Heasley, Marion, IN-Office 765-274-2511
