Measuring a Dogs Ability

Post by rabbitsmoker »

I dont know about everyone else but i have a weakness when tryin a new dog out I very seldom buy a older dog but when i do i always like to try the dog with my best dog for a measurin stick the reason is when i try one solo i have a tough time really seeing how good the hound really is I always take my best check dog and if the one im tryin cannot get at least half the checks im absolutely not gona to buy the dog i look at speed mouth and faults But it has always been hard for me to really see how good a dog actually is when runnin the dog solo I see more when i have something to compare to Anyone else have this problem just curious
