A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
My brother and I took our girls out for a weekend of rabbit hunting. The weather was perfect especially for December in Missouri.... heavy frost, sunny with an afternoon high in the 50's. The running was awsome and our pups packed up great with our older dogs. We did harvest a few rabbits, but we really got caught up watching, videoing and listening to our young Talk To Me Beagles get after some Missouri cottontails. Picture #1 Saturday's pack from left to right: Daisy, Hope and Maggie. Picture #2 Sunday's pack from left to right: Molly, Hope and Holly.
Maggie and Holly are littermates out of Molly and this is their first gun season.
Thanks for looking. Happy hunting and have a Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the kind words guys they mean alot to me. My dogs are young and are still learning, but they give me their best every time out. They have good days and bad, but this was a good weekend for all of us.
Steve you don't have to kick yourself about Molly but I understand where you are coming from. She is a special part of the family that my girlfriend has spoiled rotten. I guess that's ok because Molly always wants to go run rabbits with me.
Tim we will have to run dogs some time. This season is getting away from us fast. BCBeagles I know where you are coming from I'm starting to like that blood too. You guys have a Merry Christmas.
Very nice Anthony, sounds like you had a good time and the dogs look great.
Check out these two littermates to your Daisy female. The other two are bred up almost like Molly. Jose Chacon from Mexico owns them, this was three weeks ago in Morelos, Mexico. He hunts Desert Cottontail and White-sided Jack Rabbits with them.

Thanks for the complement Jim. That is an awsome picture. It is hard to imagine dogs running in those hot conditions, but i guess it's no different than dogs that run in the extreme cold. Keep up the good work. You are right Steve they all look similar. I think they look like Donna.
