Has anyone on here ever ran a dog with three legs? The reason I ask is that on the last day of our dear season some deer hunter shot my best hound through the left elbow and I had to have the whole left front leg amputated. I know hounds adjust very well to this just wondered if you guys think she will still be able to hunt? Thanks for your responces.

when i was a teenager , my buddy's little female had a litter of pups one year in the dead of winter while he was at work , by the time he got home all but one was dead , froze to death , he took the one little female that survived into the house , she lived but had frostbite on her hind leg and her tail , he bottle feed that little girl , her one hind leg dried up and fell off at the knee , her tail fell off also , was the craziest looking little beagle i ever saw in my life , she turned out to be an outstanding rabbitdog , had no trouble keeping up with her mother , she lived to be about 10 or so before she past , the only problem we had with her was she was as mean as a snake , the only dog she would not fight with was her mother , after all she went through we just delt with her meaness
