Steve,

I have one I really like, Lectro Kennel with a t stat, worked great! It is rigid plastic that they can't really tear up easily. Good luck!!

That's what I use, It's ABS plastic. Ya you need the reostat. I had to pay about $30 extra, but it's worth it early on when the pups are too litle it move off it easy.
