How many dogs in a box?

I am buying a Diamond deluxe dog box. How many beagles can you comfortably carry in a 38 inch wide 38 inch long box per side? How about a 38 inch wide 46 inch long box per side?

My box is 38"Wx46"L and you know I can fit 3 dogs comfortably per side.

I have the 38 by 46 and we put 4 in each side all the time, up to 5 for short distances.

The termperament of the dogs within a compartment can be a limiting factor. Some dogs become ill tempered when placed in close quarters with another dog. Mature males especially and often older females. Ventilation in the compartment is a major concern. I say "trial and error" will answer the question.

I think distance, or time in the box is one of the biggest factors. Are you going 5 miles or five hours?? I have a small box for a toyota tocoma that fits inside the wheel wells. I think it is 36 x 36. I haul 4 in each side at times for a short distance. But normally two or three is is about it. I would go bigger if there is any dought. More room is always better. I wish I had gone bigger at times.

if you use a stick you should be able to get about 20-30 in each side easy.
