Loss of hearing/ hearing aids

Post by D.Gross »

Question for all you guys. I'm 73 yrs. old and finally broke down and got a set of hearing aids last week. Couldn't hear the TV or the wife! I can still hear the dogs run but not real well and my new hearing aids cannot be worn when I shoot a gun.
Anyone try the "Walkers" type hearing muffs or aids?
I tried one a few years ago. The type that fits behind the ear with a sponge piece that goes into the ear. When I walked through the brush the sound about drove me crazy plus they kept falling out.
Has anyone tried the muffs? And do they work?
I would think that a person would have to turn them off until the dogs start to run to get full benefit.
Would appreciate any suggestions or comments from anyone who has tried them. Thanks from the "Old Guy." :D
