does anyone run in the rain and high humidity this time of year ??? if so how is the scent conditions ?

ran this morning 50 deg. and rain running was really good myself my son and my dad ran for about 3 hours or so ran 10 killed 7 pretty good hunt if ya ask me!!!

We pounded rabbits with good scenting .

I had a 17 hound pack (9M,8F) out by myself on Saturday afternoon during off and on rain and had running about as good as it gets. I almost felt sorry for the rabbits at times as the hounds really put the pressure to them. Part of the time they were crossing open fields were I could see all of the action. I hope the rest of the winter is just like this!

Ran this morning and they locked on and made them run for their lives.Some of the best running I've ever had is on cool rainy days.Rabbits must get stinking good when they get wet and warmed up.

Ran this AM jumped a rabbit at 9:10 they stroked it HARD for more than two hours. I had to be home by Noon or who knows when they would have finished running. It was Mid -High 40's with dense Fog and a real steady drizzle.

Both of these Pups are Derbies (July '11) and had a total of two checks that lasted more than 1 minute.

I have drenched Rabbits in a water when starting pups as I believe they leave more scent, give me lite rain ANYTIME for senting conditions.

My favorite time to go is on a light cool rain.

Wasnt hunting but was at the club running and my dogs poured it on them rabbits in the rain.

had light drizzle rain yesterday and cool out with overcast. dogs caught one and another was so tired it was close to being caught. lock on and pounded kinda running for us.

I love runnin in the rain.. Well now that i think of it i will run any time. Lol
