i like a big dog atleast 14

hes 5 1/2 months old and is probally 11 inches tall
i got a lot in him with paying for him and having him shipped
hoping he makes a decent size dog
but im not thinking hes going to
how big do u think he will be.
He been put up in a crowded small kennel

I've been told measure them at six months and then add an inch.

He'll probably be close to a 13 inch hound.

Re: what size will my pup grow to be
i say your looking at a 13 1/2 to a 14 inch beagle. Remember they grow a little after a year old.

Re: what size will my pup grow to be
With the bloodlines we run when they reach 36 weeks they are pretty much done growing other than filling out. We start measuring them at 12 weeks and they average 1 /4 inch a week up until they are 30 weeks old and then they usually slow down to 1/8 inch for the next 6 weeks. We have done that for years and it is not totally accurate but works for 95% of the dogs we measure. We have done this for probably over a 100 dogs and seems to work for us. We used to run only small dogs so we were very interested in where they were going to end up.
