Any interest in a starting and running pen in SE Iowa

Post by Big River Beagles S »

I am thinking of building a 1 acre starting pen and between a 15 and 20 acre running pen in South East Iowa, Would there be any interest in guys bringing pups to start or solo dogs in pen. Small pen would have Twisters to start and large pen would have cottontails and be thick. My wife just told me if I build a pen I better be able to pay for it so thats why I am asking. Probably be like next yr or so before I get it done if i build the big pen. Just know there aren't many bigger pens around close to me, have had local guys show some interest

You make the running pen in Iowa & I know you will have plenty of bussiness you will be the only one open to the public we just picked up 3 pups from a starting pen over 3 hour drive to Ill. the guy that owns that pen does a good job & in my opinion can read dogs very well but you put a running pen in Iowa & you will for sure see me. please keep us informed.

I gotta agree with hawkeyee. i had one of the dogs he's talking about down there and it was a HAUL to get down to the pen . I also think you would see some Wisconsin guys that want their dogs started on cottontails even though they may be running them on hare later on. I have been thinking about building a pen down the road as well. It might just be easier to drop them off and pick them up in a month at our place though:D

I would probably give you some business in that pen! I need to just bite the bullet and send my dogs to a pen for two months when they start. This would give them a much better start then I have time for!

Oops I just reread my earlier post and what I ment to say was it might just be easier to drop them off at YOUR place and pick them up in month. Thats what I get for typing to fast.
