CLASSIC 70 VS. SPORTDOG 3225

Post by hillbilly »

I have always been a tritronics user till 4 years ago when I got out of beagling because of work schedule. Now I am getting back into it and looking at a new system and was looking at the 2 miles of range I could get vs. The classic 70 1 mile for about the same price, and was just wondering if I could get some feedback from the beagle nation on the sport dog . Thanks.

I have not had the 3225 but sportdog is way better than tri tronics hands down, performance, range, power, and most of all CUSTOMERS SERVICE is 110% better than trip tronics

I have owned both and the 3225 is hands down a better unit. And like was stated earlier, customer service is 10 times as good!

I have never owned a sport dog but from what I hear they are a great unit. The first great thing people say about them is how great their customer service is which kind or worries me when I am looking to purchase a device. I have owned 3 different tri tronics units in the last 16 years and have never used customer service. The thing that really sales me on the tri tronics is that they are American made (which cost more). Tri tri troncs is also a sponsor of our sport. The field 70 is a great unit but if you are worried about the range you might want to spend the extra and get the trash breaker. Just my opinion.

The product for sportdog is great but they actually back their product unlike Tri Tronics!! I have had a sportdog awhile back that was a single dog unit and I wish I never would have sold it. I tripped while running through the woods and broke a piece on my hand held and was 6 months out of my warranty and they still even though it was my fault sent me a new unit free of charge!!! I sold it due to needing more collars so when I get a new unit it will be the Sportdog for me again!!!

I had a dog get ran over and it busted the collar housing. It still worked even though one of the prong bases was broke off.It was over a year out of warranty.I sent it in with a note telling what happened to it and instructions to put the internals in a new housing. They sent me a brand new collar free with a note saying they were sorry to hear about my dog. That is customer service!!!!As long as I have dogs I'll use their products.
