If she isn't eating or more importantly drinking within a day or so, I would probably be concerned. Without food or water her milk production will begin to slow down. I had a female that wouldn't eat or drink after. She ended up drying up and I had to raise the pups by hand. Bad job.

Mother eats afterbirth, casings, etc. during birthing which helps milk production. In a day or 2 she should be eating well with a good appetite or something may be wrong. My vet told me to mix some canned dog food in with regular dry food to get her to eat well so she would have lots of milk for pups.
Thanks,
Bob
