Better get use to the rain. It's gonna be doing this all day long with more on the way.

is it the lack of money to travel or lack of people that run dogs? there used to be 900 to 1000 dogs showed up for the world.

What format are the numbers not down in? Maybe people are bringing less sh#t eaters.

Isn't it amazing how individuals throw out numbers and information that they have no idea about! Matt Marple just posted that the numbers at the 2014 Little Pack World Hunt were down 150 hounds from 2 years ago. 2012 the total hounds entered in the Field were 599. 2013 the total hounds entered in the Field were 578. This year the total hounds entered in the Field were 556. Now if you want to go back to 2009 ( 6 World Hunts ago ) the total number of the hounds in the Field were 704. That would of been 148 hounds more that 2014. A lot has happened in this old world over those years that can affect these numbers. Little Pack still host the Worlds largest beagle trial and with all of the rain that came down last weekend still finished up before noon Sunday. Another thing about Little Pack, we still have the best Judges in the World. Thank all of the Judges that stepped up and helped get this hunt over with all of the rain.

While this thread is about entries which can change or vary for many reasons. Is there any chance we can get a explanation as to why the biggest event in the beagle world has absolutely no covereage let alone results posted as of yet for the general masses. I am active in Little Pack and love the sport but have always wondered why there is so little media support for this event in particular. I only posted on this thread since you yourself Fred posted with information from previous world hunts.

I will have to agree with you. This event should have a lot of coverage. We had 2 newspapers come this year but they are local papers. We could do a lot better in promoting and getting information out to the public. I am not a computer person. This would be the place to post it.
